Africa is the second largest continent of the world. It has 54 countries, which is the most on any continent. Africa offers a travel experience a thousand kilometers from the well backpacked, air-conditioned tourist trails of Southeast Asia or the cash-cow theme parks of Australia or Europe.
Africa has an indefinable mystery and each country within this large continent differs dramatically. The North African countries – Morocco, Egypt or Tunisia are closer in culture to the Arab countries, whereas most of the other countries including Nigeria, Sudan and Mali retain their rich African heritage.
